Our Origin

When I was 3 my family and I immigrated to the US because my mom was in desperate need of a kidney transplant and it just was not possible where I’m from. So, growing up I saw my dad do the unthinkable. He donated a kidney to my mom, sleep on floors and worked 3 jobs all so my mom and I could live a better life. It’s remarkable but it’s not unusual because in one-way or another there are so many hardworking people who make sacrifices for a better future for the next generation. For me, that’s a privilege and an underappreciated luxury because it provides a certain level of comfort and strength that I otherwise wouldn’t have if it weren’t for their sacrifice. I think that living everyday as my best self is part of the way that I show my appreciation while continuing to sacrifice for an even better future for the next generation. Luxury is your birthright!
